Steve's Station Deluxe

A reading room workstation that adjusts to you.

Deluxe Steve’s Station radiology desk was designed to help radiologists be as productive as possible. Discomfort and injury are obvious barriers to productivity, so Steve’s Station is easy to position to relieve strain and keep your body moving throughout the day. The Deluxe adds to the features of Advanced with acoustic panels that block noise for clearer dictation and an ambient light that adjusts the light behind the displays to maintain the appropriate contrast to the image on the screen. From the Advanced table comes Monitor Easy Track™ to slide the entire monitor array forward and back in unison 10” to reach your optimal focal depth. Fine-tune monitor position vertically, laterally, and side-to-side tilt to place your displays in a seamless array, even different sizes and makes.

Steve's Station Deluxe Features

  • Steve’s Station is available “a la carte” or in pre-configured packages to match the most common modalities. Just add a CPU Holder to support your computer (choose from three sizes) and you’re ready to go! Download a complete list of Steve’s Station packages here!

  • Steve’s Station’s electric lift legs adjust the table 23”-49” high with the push of a button. Fine-tune the keyboard height from 5.75” below that to 7” above for a total keyboard height range of 17.25”-56”. With that adjustment range, Steve’s Station’s exceeds the ergonomic benchmark of fitting the 5th percentile seated female to 95th percentile standing male. Translation? Steve’s Station adjusts to fit very nearly every body. And the tables lift up to 325 lbs!

  • The keyboard surface on dual-surface Steve’s Station tables attaches to the back monitor surface with a height-adjusting mechanism. Set the height of the back monitor surface electrically, then fine-tune the height of the front keyboard surface manually. The keyboard surface adjusts 5.75” below the monitor surface to 7” above, so the table positions the displays and the keyboard at the best height for you, reducing strain on your neck, back, and shoulders so you’re comfortable all day.

  • The keyboard surface on dual-surface Steve’s Station tables also tilts from 9 degrees positive to 15 degrees negative. Typing with the keyboard on a negative tilt surface sloping away from you reduces pressure on your arms, shoulders, neck and back.

  • Radiologists make great furniture designers. That’s what we learned during Steve’s Station’s extensive Beta testing. Hospitals, universities, and clinics across the US evaluated and critiqued the tables, including Epic Imaging in Portland, OR (shown here). A goal for Steve's Station was to design a table that helped radiologists be as productive as possible. Discomfort and injury are obvious barriers to productivity, and our Beta testers told us exactly where it hurt.

  • Grab the grip on Steve’s Station’s Monitor Easy Track to slide the entire bank of displays forward and back 10” to reach your optimal focal depth, reducing eye strain. Monitor knuckles come with the 15-foot DVI-D cables for your monitors, so you know connections are protected as you move the monitor and the table.

  • Beta testers loved what they called “thoughtful details” on the table, especially the convenience controls. The low-flow fan keeps air moving gently around the displays to keep you refreshed. Twin LED task lights shine light on the worksurface without washing onto the displays. A pair of powered USB ports connect through the cable management system to give access to your computer.

  • The safety system on Steve’s Station stops the table’s motion when it detects in obstacle. Stops are located on both sides of the table.

  • The lower cable ladder on Steve’s station articulates as the table moves up and down so cords and cables don’t get caught or snagged. Route power and data cables through the table’s cable management system to protect connections through the table’s entire range of motion.

  • The cable trough on Steve’s Station is accessed through hinged doors that open from the front or back. Inside, a full power strip provides 13 receptacles to power your equipment. The power strip sends a single power cord to the wall.

  • The right chair makes all the difference. Choose one from Anthro that supports your head, neck, shoulders, and forearms to reduce strain on your body and keep you energized. Although we don't make these chairs, we've tested them all and can say without hesitation that they meet Anthro's requirements for quality and comfort. See all our chairs in Anthro’s Spec Guide.

  • Outfit your table with options from our complete line-up of accessories for CPU Storage, hardware to support your particular monitor configuration, phone mount, and more. Download our Spec Guide for a complete listing.

  • With Anthro, you get more than great radiology furniture – you get a partner who understands how to make your reading room as productive and comfortable as it can be. When Anthro is your partner, you receive free space planning, assistance meeting your compliance requirements, plus delivery and installation choices that fit your project and your timeline.

  • Why talk about ergonomics and comfort? It’s because pain makes anybody less effective. Simply put, addressing the specific ergonomic needs of radiologists helps them be more productive. Steve’s Station does that with a height adjustment range that fits the 5th percentile of seated women to the 95th percentile of standing men, so everybody finds a comfortable working height sitting and standing. The Monitor Easy Track adjusts forward and back 10” to place displays at each user’s optimal focal depth. The 29.5”-high acoustic panels surround the desk, blocking visual distractions and noise so dictation is clearer. And the table’s finishes make Steve’s Station a comfortable place to be morning to evening.

  • Steve’s Station’s cable management system protects data and power cords and cables through the table’s entire range of motion so that connections aren’t strained when the table height or monitor depth are adjusted. Monitors are easy to reposition and replace with a single included tool.
